What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Consultant position at Vanguard?
Core Responsibilities
1. Leads the research and identification of appropriate investment solutions for an assigned book or books of business, and acts as a subject matter expert to provide guidance to internal partners. Assists Relationship Managers with client interactions.
2. Builds relationships with internal partners and acts as a liaison to facilitate and ensure the timely execution of client requests. Leads and drives complex processing activities. Communicates issues and provides recommendations related to client service options and solutions.
3. Responds to investment-related questions from existing clients. Leverages understanding of immediate and long-term client needs to efficiently plan and deliver customer-focused solutions. Discusses investment products and services to enhance client relationships and drive operational efficiencies. Develops supporting documentation used to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
4. Maintains and develops an expert understanding of overall financial markets and the related legal, tax, and regulatory issues to support the education and guidance provided to clients. Maintains compliance with all Vanguard policies, applicable laws, and regulations.
5. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years experience within Financial Services industry or function preferred.
This job requires a regulatory FINRA license 7 and 66.
