Operations Department
The Operations Department encompasses several key teams that help our customers and Vantage run efficiently. Site Operations is responsible for the overall health and wellbeing of all mechanical and electrical systems, building maintenance, customer service and performance of all data modules at each campus. The teams are staffed 24 x 7 on site with Critical Facilities Engineers (CFEs) on each shift. These teams monitor uptime of our campus as well as the general health of our customer installations. Using a Critical Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan and track needed work, each campus Site Operations department manages all preventative and corrective maintenance on-site for our campuses vs. calling out to vendors.
The Reliability Engineering Team is responsible for the overall health of critical systems across Vantage global facilities. For each of the major systems Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls, the Reliability Engineering team is responsible for ensuring success in the commissioning stages of new construction, evaluating and improving the reliability and performance of existing critical infrastructure, sustaining equipment operational availability through maintenance program design, providing ongoing technical support to the Site Operations Teams, as well as providing systems reliability and maintainability feedback to the Design Engineering teams for future design considerations. Physical security works in tandem with all operations teams to ensure Vantage facilities are safeguarded and well monitored. This includes functions across access control, CCTV, security staff, security design, and engineering. Business operations collaborates with all teams and supports several key initiatives including but not limited to; Service Support, Vendor Relations, Standards & Transformation, and Property Management.
Position Overview
The Lease Manager will oversee all aspects of data center leases, ensuring optimal utilization and management of leased properties within Vantage’s portfolio. This role involves overseeing lease agreements, handling lease renewals, and maintaining compliance with lease terms. The Lease Manager will work closely with property owners, legal teams, finance departments, and internal partners to ensure that all lease-related activities support the strategic goals of the organization.
This role can be based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA.

Essential Job Functions
- Lease Negotiation and Management:
- Negotiate new lease agreements and renewals to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Review and interpret lease agreements, ensuring compliance with all lease terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with legal and finance teams to finalize lease documents and ensure they meet company standards.
- Lease Administration:
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all lease agreements, critical dates, and relevant documentation.
- Monitor and handle lease obligations, including rent payments, security deposits, and other financial commitments.
- Ensure timely execution of lease renewals, expansions, terminations, and other lease-related activities.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct financial analysis of lease agreements to assess the impact on the company's financial position.
- Prepare and present lease-related financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for lease-related expenses.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with internal team members, including property management, legal, finance, and operations teams, to align lease management activities with business objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for property owners and landlords, addressing any lease-related issues or disputes.
- Collaborate with the site selection and real estate teams to identify new leasing opportunities and support expansion plans.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all lease agreements, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with lease agreements, including potential financial or legal exposures.
- Implement best practices for lease management and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to stay informed about trends and developments in the data center real estate market.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making related to lease management and site selection.
- Additional duties as assigned by Management.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in lease management, real estate, or property management, preferably within the data center industry.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of lease agreements, real estate law, and financial analysis.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Validated ability to handle multiple leases and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in lease management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thorough with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Travel required is expected to be up to 20% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details
- Salary Range: $140,000-160,000 Base Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

- Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
