Accountant

Vantage IC, LLC is looking for a part time accountant to prepare financial statements. Hours are flexible. There are two divisions, Vantage Air Support and Vantage Components.

Vantage Air Support is an AS9120 certified provider of aircraft spares, components and services supporting fixed wing and rotary operators and MROs globally.

Vantage Components is an ISO 9001 certified distributor of electronic components serving OEMs and Contract Manufacturers worldwide.

The responsibilities required for this position include the ability to:

• Prepare monthly and annual closings, including preparation of month-end and year-end journal entries, and GL account analysis, bank reconciliations and capital expenditure.
• Review and reconcile all balance sheet accounts
• Perform monthly GL Account analysis
• Analyze period changes and provide management with variance analysis
• Prepare weekly and monthly journal entries
• Month-end closing process
• Prepare monthly internal financial statements
• Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Five plus years of relevant experience, manufacturing/distribution a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player
• Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
• Take part in various department-wide initiatives
• Efficient in ERP systems. Proficiency in Pentagon2000 a plus.
