RFP Manager
The RFP Manager is responsible for leading our RFP team. This team has the responsibility of coordinating, managing, and facilitating all phases of the companys proposal process in response to all RFPs. The ability to meet deadlines, analyze requirements, develop winning strategies, a commitment to teamwork, and detailed follow-through are key to success in this role.

WHAT YOULL DO
- Manage the current RFP team, providing mentorship, support & guidance as needed.
- Develop effective relationships with Sales Team, Department Heads, Consultants, and others as needed.
- Coordinate RFP review meetings identifying areas of opportunity, driving decision making, clarifying sales strategy specific to the deal and partnering opportunities where necessary.
- Maintain tracking of each RFP including owners of questions, schedules, due dates, etc.
- Provide accurate, thorough, completed RFP/Presentation drafts to appropriate parties by established milestone dates.
- Coordinate quality assurance reviews (proofread, accuracy and comprehensive content) and management reviews (draft and final).
- Customize responses to address specific questions while utilizing RFP database as a primary source of content.
- Maintain tracking of all proposals to allow assessment of revenue value, solution type, and win/loss analysis.
- Monitor competitor wins on public sites for competitor intelligence and prepares a summary of findings for appropriate internal review.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of effective responses.
- Assist in researching new sales opportunities to provide early identification of opportunities.
- Prepare proposal related and sales presentations, as required
- Provide various reporting and analyses of data and drive action to support sales goals.
- Review current RFP processes at least annually and validate or make recommendations for improvement
HOW YOULL GET THERE
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Experience leading a contract management and RFP team that services state & local education, as well as federal government sectors. Ability to build programs and processes around contract management, business development of RFPs and solicitations, along with the capability to effectively respond to and win solicitations.
- Experience with Federal government contracting, specifically working with General Services Administration (GSA). This includes experience managing a GSA schedule as it pertains to product management, pricing, billing, and general adherence to rules and regulations as a schedule holder.
- History of selling merchandise through approved reseller channels and the ability to vet and onboard those entities. Experience with teaming arrangements with prime contractors and knowledgeable of how to build relationships with those organizations in the FED/SLED sectors.
- Ability to create new sales presentations, combining images & sales messaging into compelling sales documentation.
- Ability to discern business priorities
- Strong people leadership skills
- Results driven mindset with foresight into changes to optimize team performance
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Proficient in Adobe Reader
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
