SUMMARY

This position will play a pivotal role on the Vari Technology Team contributing to business-critical projects in Vari’s SAP S/4 HANA Practice by supporting systems design, configuration, development, implementation, deployment, and support of Technology capabilities for Vari.  This is a technical role that will be responsible for designing-optimizing-delivering technical solutions that align to business requirements that support-enable internal customers achieve high-performance results. This role will contribute to defining the technical roadmap as well as definitions of technical-documentation standards of our SAP solution(s).

This position will report to the Director of Technology but work daily within the business application teams and peer departments at Vari.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellence both tactically and through collaboration, strong partnerships, and exemplary customer service to internal stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Demonstrate passion for continuous improvement and accountability

• Provides analytical support necessary to develop and implement solutions
• Leads activities related to SAP Basis partnering with our hosting provider. Drives planning efforts in the areas of cost, schedule and technical risk related to SAP technical platform.
• Support ongoing projects, enhancements, and day-to-day production support activities.
• Understands development framework, application architecture and technical architecture to create solutions that fit in to the overall system landscape.
• Considers and documents storage requirements, performance of the application and restart/recovery factors during the design, development, and implementation of technical process
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues, coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve issues.
• Effectively work with business and IT team to prioritize and plan implementation of changes.
• Ability to work independently and alongside others on multiple activities, with flexibility to manage competing demands and changing priorities.
• Balances needs of multiple stakeholders. Gains buy-in from groups who may be resistant to change.
• Champion continuous process improvement, performance management, and metrics-driven results.

HOW YOU’LL GET THERE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
• 6 years SAP Basis experience required
• 3 years HANA Database administration along with DB replication, HA/DR preferred
• Extensive Fiori / SAP Portal Administration experience is a plus
• Strong experience with Disk Space Management, Transport management, Performance Tuning, Support Packages – Upgrades, Backup, Recovery, Client Copy, Data Refresh is required.
• Experience with Installing, Configuring, Monitoring (System Log, System Performance etc.) HANA DB environment is required.
• Experience operating in HEC preferred
• SOX-IT and SAP Audit experience preferred
• Solid understanding of the SAP Architecture, planning activities and Cloud frameworks required
• Experience with Solution Manager preferred
• Experience implementing SAP in the CPG or Retail industries as either a client, a consultant, or both
• Requires strong communication skills to work internally with end user departments, management, and peers.  Develops and provides written and verbal presentations to end users, and peers.
• Exhibits strong analytical ability and creativity in developing and integrating an end-to-end solution.
• Experience with working with external AMS organizations preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Atlassian (Jira, Service Desk, Confluence) preferred.
• Working in Agile environment preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint) preferred.
