Specific Responsibilities:
Ensures strategic alignment of 3rd Party (3P) product interoperability / compatibility with Varian product portfolio roadmaps; Liaise with product development teams; provide visibility of 3P products for evaluation to product teams across the Varian suite of products.
Develops early assessment business cases to evaluate potential for 3P device commercial success, ensuring product offerings align with the Varian vision and the market need.
Works with the Strategic Alliance team to initiate agreement development and technical alignment, including detailed description of project objectives, budgets, and statement of work.
Support and assist Marketing with, but not limited to, Launch Plan, Commercial Release Plan, Market Introduction Plan.
Support and assist Service with, but not limited to, Service Readiness Plan and Customer Satisfaction Phase activities.
Works with cross functional colleagues and 3P partners to write interoperability / compatibility clinical use cases, technical product requirements and commercialization strategy.
Participates in 3P interoperability project development teams and ensure scope alignment with overall customer and business need; write use cases and product requirements for safe and effective interaction of the 3P product with Varian system(s); oversight of verification and validation test case development and execution and effective commercial roll-out.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of technical and clinical needs associated with radiotherapy treatment activities, with a focus on interoperability, as well as a general knowledge of other relevant Varian applications (TrueBeam, Halcyon, QA, ARIA, etc.).
Participate in testing activities in-house and at customer sites when applicable.
Interfaces with Varian customers regarding the desirability and effectiveness of 3P products. Communicates findings and collaborates with applicable business and product owners across Varian.
Travel, as required, to meet with vendors and customer, and to participate in product testing as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent
Experience with medical device product regulations is required
Clinical Physics Patient and Machine QA experience a plus
Experience in leading Software product development a plus
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Experience in Medical Imaging or Radiation Therapy a plus
Fluency in English language, written and verbal
Reliable, tenacious, team-oriented

The base pay range for this position is
Min $91,800 - Max $165,100The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
