- Ability to operate the following lift trucks:
- LP-Gas sit down Rider
- Electric Stand-up Rider
- Low Lift Electric Hand Truck
- Have an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two -step instructions and to deal with ordinary, standardized situations.
- Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding; subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; and operations with units such as inch, foot, yard; ounce, and pound.
- Able to read, write and communicate in English.
Experience:
- Stand-up Reach Forklift: 1 year (Required)
- General Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)
The BSN SPORTS Grand Prairie, TX/Warehouse team is looking for a Forklift Operator in Grand Prairie.
Peak Season (July-December) Requirements:
- Shift hours Monday through Friday; (4:00 am - 12:30 pm - 4 am - 2:30 pm) ,
- Mandatory overtime which may include some Saturdays and Sundays.
Job Responsibilities for Lift Operator:
- Reports to the shipping office at the beginning of each shift for the daily assignment, vehicle inspection sheet, and replenishment discrepancies sheet.
- Inspects assigned lift and completes vehicle inspection sheet.
- Replenishes pick slots. If no requests exist, manually replenish to fill empty or almost empty slots.
- Maintains correct counts.
- Verifies that the correct product is being put in the appropriate pick location.
- Removes all empty pallets from pick locations and aisles. Separates the good, and bad, pallets and neatly stages in the pallet staging area.
- Operates the lift in a safe and efficient manner and parks and recharges the lift in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift.
