Silkscreen Operator
Hours : Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

SUMMARY :
Responsible for preparation of screens, setup of silkscreen presses and overall quality of the print.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Setup silkscreen presses.
- Ensure design is registered properly as indicated by the artwork printout.
- Prep screens for production, which includes, but not limited to : emulsion coating, block out, taping and screen-writing
- Organizes and assigns the work.
- Provide support, guidance and training to silkscreen operators.
- Operate a silkscreen press, as needed and exceed production standard expectancies.
- Ensure proper clean up of screens and work stations is occurring on a daily basis.
- Help keep area clean and safe.
- Maintain good working atmosphere and harmony between with lead person and fellow workers.
- Assist in other areas as working backlogs dictate.
- Be able to operate hand jack to move skids if necessary.
- Pull routing cards when work is complete in individual area. If cards are missing notify production supervision.
- Maintain S.E. sheet on 2 hour basis.
- If running cover, must be able to stack own covers if catcher is busy.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
- Ability to add and subtract two digit number and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American measurement.
REASONING ABILITY :
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

EQUIPMENT and TOOLS : Equipment and tools used will vary in each work area. Examples would include : Personal computers, scanners, vertical cameras, X-acto knives, heavy press and / or bindery equipment, forklifts, plate frames, processors, etc.
