VCA Animal Medical Center is seeking a Part time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the team at our busy five doctor general practice. We provide great mentoring and training with lots of room for growth on a hospital team that shares the common goal of providing the highest level of care possible. We have a unique culture in our hospital that values each person’s individual skills and personality.
Marysville sits in a beautiful part of Western Washington where access to everything is within easy reach. Just a short drive to all manner of outdoor activities while also being close to an unending variety culture and entertainment.
We are offering a competitive wage of $19-23/hr. (DOE), continuing education benefits, and professional development. Required qualification: Minimum 1 year experience working as a Veterinary Assistant in a hospital setting and/or Certified Veterinary Assistant.
As a member of the VCA team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:
- Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
- Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
- Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.
- Maintaining medical records.
- Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
- Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
