VCA Anderson's Corner Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced full time Veterinary Assistant to join our medical team!
About Us
VCA Anderson's Corner is a multi-doctor small animal practice in Toano, Virginia. We see dogs, cats, and exotic species, offering a variety of services including Primary Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and Ultrasound.
We also utilize visiting Cardiology and Internal Medicine specialists.
We are open Monday through Friday 7am - 6pm, Saturdays 7am - 2pm, closed on Sundays.

About the Role
As Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include :
- Compassionate patient care
- Client education and care
- Venipuncture and catheter placement
- Radiology and diagnostics
- Lab sample collection and processing
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Dentistry
- Medication preparation and administration
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- Medical recordkeeping
Qualifications
- One or more years of small animal veterinary assisting experience
- Able to proficiently perform veterinary assisting skills including duties listed above
Compensation for this position starts at $15 / hr and up depending on level of skill and experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
