What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandising/ Marketing Assistant position at VCNY Home?

Responsibilities:
- Maintain product photos in the database and assist in organizing the fabric library.
- Manage and organize sample tracking.
- Organize trend boards and product presentation boards and work with outside design studios on-trend update.
- Assist with competitive shopping trips including schedule setup, travel arrangements, and after trip recap meetings.
- Collaborate with the owner in maintaining and growing social media channels.
- Updating and maintaining marketing materials
- Assist owner with sales, production, merchandising processes.
Qualifications (minimum)
- 2 years of experience supporting a senior executive in a fast paced, high-pressure environment requiring little or no direct supervision
- College degree required (B.A. in Fashion Merchandising or Marketing preferred)
- Excellent written/oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to multitask with shifting priorities and to interact with diverse personalities.
- Able to be initiative-taking and work under pressure.
- Prior internship experience in Product development or Merchandising or Marketing helpful.
