Production Manager

VCNY Home is searching for a Textile Production Manager to facilitate production and manage the flow of communication and changes to all factories/agents/staff with a sense of urgency to eliminate roadblocks in production and deliver quality merchandise on time. MANDARIN REQUIRED.

Job Description:

• Overall responsibility covering Sourcing, Production Coordination, and P/L as it relates to doing business in China for the company
• Develop and present an overall product assortment for each season
• Communicate with company management to recommend business opportunities and ways to expand product lines and increase sales
• Attend fairs, trend shows (i.e., Canton Fair) for sourcing new products and vendors
• Lead the team on sourcing and production to achieve all business plans, objectives and profitability targets
• Ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved in terms of the timely delivery of quality products and services
• Work closely with internal partners including sales, product development, design, quality, and oversea office to ensure best outcome of each projects

Minimum Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textiles or related field preferred
• Must be able to speak, read and write fluent Mandarin
• 5 years of experience in sourcing/purchasing for soft home goods
• Production Supervisor, Production assistant experience.
• Strong merchandising skills, acute sense of customer intimacy and product category
• Ability to juggle various functions at one time, but stay focused on the big picture
• A team builder with team-working spirit, organizational development ability and mentoring skills
• Demonstrated skills and capability of creating/managing/motivating a cohesive team
• General knowledge of Private Label business a plus
• Ability to focus on organizations, set goals and be result-oriented; driven to meet deadlines, budgets, and metrics
• Demonstrated ability to perform and lead teams efficiently and effectively under high pressure situations
