JOB OVERVIEW:
The Trade Show and Events Specialist will advise and execute on all aspects of trade shows and events including the planning and logistics of all in-person, virtual and hybrid trade shows, conferences, and events, for the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as primary on-site advisor for trade shows and events
- Responsible for the planning and execution of corporate trade shows, conferences, and external, customer- and community-facing events (in-person and virtual). Approximately 20 shows per year of varying sizes, and 4-5 events
- Manages booth design and plans, installation and dismantle, shipping, storage, and reporting
- Develops and manages a comprehensive event project plan for all trade show and event tasks, coordinates inventory and supply of promotional items, literature, and other details
- Manages the design, layout, cost estimates, and construction of exhibits and displays
- Negotiates with vendors and service providers for best arrangements within budget
- Researches and recommends event venues, coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology
- Establishes, manages, and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services and trade associations
- Contributes to defining the event strategy and vision via creative brief and alignment with all parties needed
- Works with the Director, Content and Communications, and Marketing Managers in applying strategies and objectives to ensure plans and activities support the brand(s)
- Establishes process and metrics to identify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL’s) for the Sales Department
- Occasionally works with internal teams to coordinate customer, employee, or community visits and tours, ensuring logistics and parameters of the visit.

JOB EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years’ experience in the related areas as an individual contributor.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing, sales, trade show management and event planning
- Possess great interpersonal skills, ability to speak publicly, and promotes the company culture
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience working with convention centers, vendors, talent, sales, customer service, and event venues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must practice strict adherence to deadlines and schedules
- Keen decision-making and problem-solving skills are a must; be able to think on your feet and be innovative under pressure
- Ability to initiate and execute creative ideas and work collaboratively with team members
- Maintains technical knowledge by continuous learning to keep skills and industry knowledge current
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business, or related field
