VECCO (Vital Engineered Component Company) Supplier Delivery Driver:
The OSP Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery and pickup of parts supplied by VECCO supplier base.
- This position sits at VECCO (Vital Engineered Component Company) Sterling Heights, MI facility and will report to the Shipping Supervisor.
- The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, as well as experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle. He or she will be responsible for loading and unloading the truck, as well as making sure the products are delivered safely and on time. The supplier delivery driver will also be responsible for keeping the truck clean and notify any condition that requires maintenance regarding the vehicles.
Key Responsibilities

Drive company vehicles to transport goods or materials to and from specified destinations.*
- Load and unload cargo, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and notify manager or maintenance personal as required.
- Comply with all applicable traffic laws and regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, fuel usage, and any problems encountered on the road.
- Communicate delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to shipping manager.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as needed.
- Report any incidents or accidents to management immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- May be required to work overtime or weekends as needed.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- 2 years commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift or pass company forklift training program.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Experience driving a box truck and cargo van.
