Our client is seeking hardworking and dedicated Materials Laborers to join our team in the utilities industry. As a Materials Laborer, you will be responsible for supporting the transportation, storage, and handling of utility materials, including construction materials, tools, and equipment. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that our materials are properly documented, delivered, and managed to support our daily operations.
The ideal candidate for this role will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess physical strength and stamina. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be able to maintain a high level of accuracy in your work. Your safety and that of your coworkers will be your top priority, and you must be committed to following safety protocols at all times.
Responsibilities
- Maintain material inventory levels and order materials as needed.
- Receive and inspect deliveries of materials and supplies.
- Update inventory tracking systems and reports.
- Organize and maintain materials storage areas.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment as needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials onto trucks and other vehicles.
- Follow all company safety procedures and protocols.
- Put together hardware that goes to right away.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in materials handling or related field preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, often in challenging environments.
- Willingness to travel to other locations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Forklift and Telehandler operation experience a plus, or the ability to be trained.
