Job Title: IT Subject Matter Specialist (Cloud)

Location: Bethesda, MD or Reston Va.

Summary:

This position will function as an IT Subject Matter Specialist supporting National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC). This tasking provides software development, technical architecture, and utilization planning in a DevOps environment to support the NMEC Modernization effort of migrating capabilities to the cloud.

Responsibilities/Experience:

· 12 years of overall experience in Information Technology providing analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation.

· 5 years’ hands-on development experience with cloud computing and traditional enterprise data-center technologies, i.e., Network, compute, storage, and virtualization.

· 3 years’ experience conducting legacy application migration to cloud environments.

· Thorough understanding of cloud-based services such as compute, network, storage utilization, identify management.

· Experience in the development of object-oriented software with languages like JavaScript, C , Python, .NET, JIRA, Visual Studio or Ruby applications.

· Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies

· Demonstrated understanding of industry standards for building services in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in Cloud environments.

Education/Certifications/Clearance:

  • BS degree plus 8 years’ experience or 12 years of IT experience
  • Requires IAM Level II (Security , Network , CCNA-Security) Certifications
  • Certification as AWS Cloud Practitioner a plus.

· Requires Top Secret/SCI Clearance: current CI Poly a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

  • Huntsville, AL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • IT: 10 years (Preferred)
  • AWS: 3 years (Preferred)

Security clearance:

  • Top Secret (Required)
