What are the responsibilities and job description for the UAS/Drone Pilot position at Vector Solutions?
Vector Solutions is currently seeking a part time UAS Pilot to join our team in the Richland, Washington area to support a government contract on the Hanford Site. Our UAS operations span the spectrum from airborne inspections to 3d orthomosaic mapping missions. Our drone operators are aviation specialists that work in a dynamic and exciting work environment.
Duties:
- Plan & conduct UAS operations to include inspections, photogrammetry & 3d mapping
- Assess and plan government requested UAS flight missions
- Perform cost estimates for requested missions
- Perform preflight, in flight and post flight checks and procedures
- Launch and recover air frame
- Responsible for the maintenance and care of UAS platforms and support equipment
- Responsible for uploading, analyzing and managing data collected
- Responsible for completing daily flight logs
- Responsible for attending weekly virtual team meeting
- Responsible for liaison duties with government program representatives
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Schedule:
Mon-Thurs
Requirements:
- Valid US Driver’s License w/clean driving record
- FAA Part 107 Certified Operator
Preferred Qualifications:
- Applicable UAS work experience (proof of flight time)
- Experience with GPS navigation for unmanned aircraft systems
- Experience collecting and analyzing data
- Experience with Parrot, Skydio and other UAS platforms
- Pix4D experience certification
- Secret Security Clearance preferred, but not required
Job Location:
- Most flights will occur on the Hanford site
- >10% travel outside of the local area
