IT Planner III

Responsible for planning, research, and project management of base-level voice, video and data system IT requirements ensuring goals are accomplished for the Maxwell BOS contract. May be assigned a trainer role within the scope of authority.

1. Consults with management, reviews project/task proposals to determine goals, time frame and procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
2. Coordinate/process CSRD requirements within 42 CS and customer organizations for cyber security review, software/ADPE, technical solution and costing and closure procedures.
3. Develop statement of work (SOW)/requirements (SOR) and conduct market research in coordination with unit POC, 42 CS Resource Advisor (RA) and base contracting.
4. Represent IT Plans flight at the Maxwell Configuration Control Board (CCB) as required.
5. Develop, manage and maintain all base Communications Systems Installation Records (CSIRs) program in accordance with applicable T.O.s, AFIs, ETLs & UFCs.
6. Accomplish 100% annual or 25% per quarter CSIR inventory review of required facilities.
7. Manage and maintain base Contingency program to include identification of base infrastructure, premise wiring, IT resources, security systems and radio systems.
8. Provide Technical Support for contingency operations conducted by displaced governmental agencies.
9. Manage USAF downward directed IT projects and construction projects.
10. Assist customers in defining requirements.
11. Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones and required tasks.
12. Prepares status reports, metrics and keeps management, clients, and others informed of status.
13. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional and mission requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in an associated Information Technology discipline preferred. High School diploma required.

Licenses or Certifications Required.

1. Valid State driver’s license.
2. Other IT Certifications are highly desired.

Experience: Five (5) years experience with Information Technology solutions. Two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of college.

Skills:
1. Extensive knowledge of project management.
2. Extensive knowledge of Cyber Space Infrasturcture Planning System (CIPS) and CIPS Visualization Component (CVC).
3. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Office applications.
4. Excellent data, oral and written communication and people skills.
5. Must be able to work in a group or as a leader of a group of employees.
6. Current on the latest technological advances within the IT industry.

SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:
Individual will work with management to establish standards and procedures for personnel. Individual will assist in the management and accountability of shop material to include office supplies. Identify items needed for sustaining daily operations. Identify budgetary items for short and long term needs.
