The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for a variety of the warehousing duties for the Modernization Displacement and Repair Site (MDRS) at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Duties include verifying materials and equipment against receiving documents; receives, stores, stacks, or palletizes materials, and removes material from storage and preparations for shipping equipment. Fort Liberty, NC.
Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
- Verifies material and equipment against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
- Routes material and equipment to prescribed storage locations.
- Properly stores, stacks or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
- Rearranges as necessary and takes inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
- Assist in loading and offloading of equipment from commercial vehicles.
- Validates customer turn in documents for accuracy.
- Prepares items for shipping as required. This includes packing, blocking and bracing of equipment.
- Conducts inventories of equipment turned in by MDRS customers, ensuring accuracy, condition, and serviceability.
- Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
- Establishes and maintains stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports.
- Conducts inventories through physical count and records item count on inventory documents.
- May operate hand or power trucks in performance of warehousing duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
- Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
- Computers, Fax machine, Copier, Printer and Phones.
- Personal computer systems, Microsoft Office Programs, any other pertinent software and general office equipment.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Face mask is required to be worn in all work locations.
- Use of Government Furnished vehicle.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies. Must wear a mask.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
- There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold weather conditions.
- Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- Work may require to lift up to 50 pounds, stooping, climbing and prolonged standing and/or sitting.
- Physical requirements include lifting, climbing stairs and extended sitting or standing
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A.)
- Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS/FEDLOG).
- Knowledge of warehousing storage layouts, re-warehousing and other basic warehousing functions.
- Forklift Licensed.
- Must be able to obtain a NACI Clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Must be able to maintain driving priviliges aboard the Fort Liberty Military Installation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and SharePoint preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills & ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.
EXPERIENCE:
- Two years experience on supply operations warehouse level.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and equipment management processes, related regulation, and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.
- Capacity to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.
- Must be familiar with all forms covered in DA PAM 710-2-1, including DA Form 3161, DA Form 5598E, DA Form 2407, DA Form 4949 and BOMs identified in GCSS-A
SKILLS:
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Project and SharePoint preferred.
- Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
