Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, overseeing, coaching, and supervising production personnel.
- Conduct interviews, hire, train, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and handle disciplinary actions for employees.
- Develop shift schedules and assign duties for each 12-hour shift.
- Organize and oversee the production of molded parts to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Monitor work activities and ensure efficient performance of labor and machinery.
- Keep up-to-date production statistics and trends for decision-making purposes.
- Collaborate in setting cycle standards and process improvements with technicians and engineers.
- Supervise and participate in line clearance procedures according to established protocols.
- Ensure proper labeling and stacking of finished products as per Quality Assurance Standards.
- Coordinate installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Manage disciplinary procedures consistently and impartially for production associates.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, address safety issues, and report incidents promptly.
- Communicate quality issues to the Quality Control department and collaborate on resolutions.
- Engage with managers to resolve personnel, production, and maintenance challenges.
- Train production associates in safe and efficient machine operation methods and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Attend shift transition meetings and communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Compile accurate shift transition data for operational continuity.
- Assist in prioritizing daily production schedules and participate in related meetings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.
- Lead or participate in 5S projects to enhance workplace organization and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in plastics or related manufacturing industries.
- Experience as a Process Technician, particularly in Blow Molding and Injection processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and data interpretation.
- Ability to apply logical thinking to complex situations and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Familiarity with SAP and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work outside regular hours when necessary.

Pay: $56,331.91 - $67,840.59 per year
