What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Leader position at Veggie Grill?
Purpose:
Shift Leads provides direct assistance and support to restaurant leadership. Leads team members in ensuring we deliver friendly and thoughtful service in an engaging, well- maintained and clean environment.
Tasks

Monitors Team deployment as schedule dictates.

Conducts shift walk-through and completes all tasks required to open, transition and close the restaurant

Engages with all guests to ensure our service and enjoyment standards are delivered.

Perform some food preparation or service tasks such as cooking, clearing tables, and serving food and drinks when necessary.

Ensure cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the restaurant

Completes shift administration and banking tasks

Monitor food preparation methods, recipes, and portion sizes.

Monitor compliance with all health department regulations regarding restaurant cleanliness, food preparation and temperature control.

Ensures team members follow break and meal period schedules as mandated
Knowledge:
English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Public Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
