Velociti is a well-established company that is experiencing growth with new projects and is looking for Service Technician(s) to join our team for our Hartford, CT region. Hours may vary between 1st and 2nd shift. Schedule flexibility required.
Velociti deals with technology deployment services and is headquartered in the Kansas City, MO area. Velociti sits at the top of its industry and provides the resources required to ensure all jobs are done correctly, on time, by properly trained individuals.
Our Service Technician(s) will install/repair and troubleshoot 12-volt electronic systems that focus around fleet and warehouse applications.
Velociti Technician(s) handle a variety of devices; ranging from GPS’s, refrigeration monitors, and self-guiding systems, to tire inflation systems, speed governors, and secondary power connections.
Job Responsibilities:
- This position will conduct deployment services for transportation technology products; including GPS Communication & Tracking Devices, On Board Computing, Tire Inflation Systems, Refrigeration Monitoring and Auxiliary Power Units.
- Record and communicate installation deliverables to Project Management and Call Center data collections center in a stated timely manner.
- Meet planned installation quantities per day.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the basic qualifications below to be considered for this position:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Travel will be required.
- Must have a minimum of one year of automotive, mechanical and/or technical work experience or related schooling, to include a basic understanding of installation services and basic trouble shooting skills.
- Must be able to work varied hours, including weekends and overtime to meet customer product availability timelines.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and use of various Mobile Computing Device(s).
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods, climb ladders and lift in excess of 50 pounds either with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must have the ability to operate a variety of standard hand tools and power tools for extended periods per day;
- Professional appearance and an ability to communicate directly with clients
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the required qualifications below to be considered for this position:
- Candidates will be required to travel for this position, including overnight or multi-night travel within an assigned or designated area.
- Candidate must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and use of various mobile computing device(s).
- Candidates will be required to work varied hours, including weekends and overtime to meet customer asset availability.
- Previous experience troubleshooting mechanics and electrical systems is required for the position.
- Candidates will be required to self-manage, follow travel instructions, and report to the project manager if any extreme issues present themselves in the field.
