What You’ll Do:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE
The Business Development Manager short and long-term strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions, and manages existing client relationships to ensure they stay positive and satisfied.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Four-year degree preferred
Minimum of four or five (4-5) years’ experience in Transportation Finance
Excellent business sense, negotiation skills, time management skills and Interpersonal skills
Proactive, hands-on attitude
Must be highly organized and able to accurately communicate across different departments.
Proficient computer skills including strong knowledge of Excel and ability to create spreadsheets.
Strict adherence to a high level of customer service.
Detailed oriented with ability to multi-task on many concurrent projects.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
Creative thinker with the ability to resolve critical problems.
Must be able to work and thrive within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Positive, high energy, self-motivated, and a desire to work hard to accomplish goals.
PINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all customer finance needs at the dealership by utilizing all funding options.
Prospects for new clients by networking, advertising, cold calling, and other means of generating growth
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
Conducts research to identify new markets and customer needs
Attends industry functions, such as association events and conferences to establish new and maintain current relationships with clients for future business
Develops rapport with new clients; builds key customer relationships and continues to grow business in the future
Grows and retains existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services offered to clients
Develops a robust pipeline of transactions in CRM
Provides support that continually improves the customer relationship
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
Screens potential business deals by analyzing deal requirements and financials
Increases sales opportunities and thereby maximizes revenue for the organization
Works with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
Identifies opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
Willingness to travel regionally
Compensation$80,000 - $125,000 yearly salary range
