Custom Mold & Design is hiring a Polisher on 1st shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN.
This position will report to the Production Manager, and has no direct reports.
This is an on-site position.

Key Accountabilities (results expected to achieve):
- This position is responsible for the polishing of mold components and parts department parts from time to time.
Key Responsibilities (tasks that you do to achieve the accountabilities):
- Work cooperatively with all employees.
- Take responsibility to see jobs are completed when due.
- Build and repair molds to customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot problems with a mold and arrive with an action plan to correct the problem in a reasonable amount of time.
- Schedule and manage work in other departments as required.
- Operate all necessary equipment in a safe manner with little or no supervision.
- Wear safety equipment that is relevant to the position, job being performed or equipment being used.
- Performs all other assignments as required.
Qualities for Success:
- Preferred 2 years technical or trade school with an emphasis on tool making or equivalent experience
- Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States
- Preferred 2 years mold making in a tool shop environment.
- Skills: Technical mathematical skills; the ability to multitask; work on several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time and within customer specifications; communicate with other departments and customers in a professional and respectful manner; basic computer skills.
- Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of all processes within the shop; understanding of blue print reading; an understanding of component and/or mold manufacturing and ability to make decisions on in process tolerancing.
- Abilities: Capable of performing daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision; to work comfortably in a team environment with Custom Mold employees and visitors.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands:
This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in a tool making and/or molding shop.
