SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for ensuring proper task management in order to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction. A Field Technician is responsible for on-site installation, repair, maintenance, system improvement and testing under the supervision of the Site Superintendent direction. Assist in all phases of construction.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides service and customer support daily.
- Be able to complete work per company schedule.
- Produces timely and detailed service reports.
- Documents processes and time use on the project.
- Operates vehicles in a safe manner and uses field automation systems.
- Follows all company s safety procedures and protocols.
- Cooperates with other technical teams and assists them when asked.
- Comprehends client requirements and makes appropriate recommendations/briefings.
- Builds positive relationships with clients.
- Uses variety of tools and equipment.
- Cleans and prepares construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
- Loads or unloads building materials to be used on projects.
- Dig trenches, back fill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction.
- Helps different craft workers with their duties.
- Follows construction plans and instructions from supervisors.
- Demolition on projects, Construction labor activities and helpers for Skilled Technicians.
- Works as a spotter while others are involved with hazardous energy sources, such as: Electrical, pneumatic, steam, hydraulic and gravity.
- Gaining technical and/or mechanical abilities as required for different types of projects through observation and working with more experienced employees.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Community College, Trade School, Technical Degree or certification, preferred.
- Two (2) years proven construction field service experience, preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and / or basic construction.
- Familiarity with construction industry tools and their applications.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
- Aptitude in math and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Valid Driver s license.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Required to commute to job sites, drive company vehicles and occasional overnight stay, as needed.
- Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule.
- Prior military experience preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification.

Work is medium to heavy demand. Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Requires good visual acuity and hearing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
