Our client - a Real Estate and Construction Company in the Metro Detroit area area - is looking for a Project Manager to join their rapidly growing team.
Job Responsibilities
- In coordination with the estimating department and project superintendent, reviews and documents all field requirements for the project.
- Attends all job site coordination meetings and is the liaison with other contractors to assure exchange of information, status of the job and all requirements.
- Maintains accurate reports of material requisitions, back charges, credits, labor, and extra work orders.
- Submits a monthly overview report to Finance and the Executive Team to report status of the project to budget, time frame and profitability.
- Processes all customer change orders and determines the impact on the plan and schedule.
- Advises Executive Management of any significant issues such as manpower, costs, scheduling and the like that will place the project at risk.
- Works closely with all project managers, foreman, and project superintendent to assure a successful project.
- At the end of the project, completes and signs off on the summary overview and submits final report to Finance.
- Provides daily supervision and direction to personnel assigned to the project.
- Represents the Company on the project site to the contractor and customer.
- Budgets the project at the onset and makes continued updates to the budget as changes occur throughout the life cycle of the project.

Job Requirements
- Completion of electrical apprenticeship or bachelor’s degree in project management, Construction Management or related field required.
- Electrical Masters License preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in electrical construction required.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the field directing a team.
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook,) required particularly in Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a significant project and budget required.
- Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
- Strong, positive customer service approach to employees, management, contractors, and customers.
- Thorough understanding and ability to read electrical drawings and specifications required.
- Must be proficient with NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards.
- Must be able to physically work on a jobsite in a construction environment.
- Must be able to travel to various jobsites as the project demands.
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
