Job Posting for Underwriting Assistant at Venture Captive Management

Position Description: Support underwriting workflows and processing of Captive and RRG renewals, endorsements, invoicing and general office management including but not limited to:
Captive Duties

  • Process captive monthly premium invoice and credit statements.
  • Calculate additional/return premium and endorsements.
  • Create and manage premium and locations spreadsheets based on actuarial data.
  • Assist with underwriting document prep for audits.

Risk Retention Group Duties

  • Binding RRG renewal accounts, collecting back-end underwriting documentation, policy creation and invoicing.
  • Distribute renewal notices to RRG insured via USPS.
  • Manage RRG weekly A/R report and premium collection.
  • Calculate additional/return premium and process RRG endorsements.
  • Prepare and distribute notices to all insureds in relation to the Annual Shareholders meeting.

General Duties

  • Manage daily mail and check registry processing.

Required Competencies and Skills:

  • High accuracy
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ underwriting assistant experience
  • 3 years P&C rating experience
  • Associate degree preferred
  • AU designation desired
  • In addition to the above, this position will assist with other responsibilities and duties as business growth deems necessary.
