Director, Process Engineering

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s three Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost

We are seeking an experienced Director, Process Engineering  with natural gas pre-treatment and liquefaction experience, to work directly with our Vice President, Engineering.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage process engineering responsibilities for capital projects and coordinate Owner’s engineering technical assurance
• Develop process flow diagrams, size equipment, perform heat and material balances, process simulations and develop process control strategies
• Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing calculations to enable the development equipment datasheets and P&IDs
• Provide oversight of the work being done by other Process Engineers in an oversight capacity
• Check relief load calculations including flare relief models
• Participate in process hazard studies like HAZOP
• Ensure detail design document reviews are completed accurately and within the required timeframe
• Review and optimize process design philosophies
• Participate and actively contribute to scheduled design reviews
• Prepare reports and evaluations of process solutions

Qualifications:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering
• 10 years of major project experience in design and implementation
• Experience working on LNG Plant projects
• Strong technical competence in process engineering with expertise in natural gas treatment and liquefaction technology
• Experience working across multiple sectors and technologies considered an asset
• Ability to travel as required for projects and to other offices
