As Veo’s Strategic Partnership Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Public Policy and Partnerships, our Sales/Business Development team, and Veo’s hardware and software departments to develop, launch, and manage new partnerships and business lines that facilitate Veo’s growth in cities across the globe. You will be responsible for building creative new relationships with groups including, but not limited to, local businesses, universities, technology companies, community groups, real estate developers, and city governments to expand the reach of Veo’s micromobility services. Veo’s Strategic Partnerships Managers must be motivated and active team players capable of excelling in a fast-paced work environment and serving in a public-facing role for a dynamic and growing company.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Drive and manage long-term and constructive relationships with external clients that expand Veo’s total addressable market and help the company win permits to operate in more cities
- Quickly plan, launch, document, and evaluate pilot and demonstration projects requiring high levels of coordination between external partners and Veo’s internal Operations, Technology, and Design teams
- Track emerging technologies and practices that could benefit Veo’s programming
- Create new leads and help Veo expand its service and products to new cities
- Conduct research on how Veo can better meet policy priorities of our city partners – ranging from ADA accessible vehicles and services, safety, expanding access to micromobility, and supporting local economic development
- Work cross-functionally with Veo management team, operations team, and product team to develop new products and services
- Contribute specialized knowledge to RFP and permit application content preparation and submission with Veo’s proposal management team
- Support Veo’s Policy and Partnerships Management team to build multi-stakeholder partnerships in our active markets
Qualifications and Skills
- 5 years of experience working on mobility and technology, or similar background in urban/transportation engineering, product development, or relevant areas of research and policy
- Experience interacting with various city agencies and stakeholders is strongly preferred.
- Proven entrepreneurial skills and scrappy spirit
- Proven ability to effectively lead cross-functional efforts to manage complex partnerships and projects effectively and responsibly
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding (and sometimes unstructured) environment
- Experience designing research and demonstration projects and documenting outcomes
- Strong professional writing, communication, and interpersonal skills – A good storyteller capable of effective communication to varied and diverse audiences
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail across varied projects
- Independent self-starter with effective people collaboration skills
- Happy to travel (up to 30% post-COVID) and welcome last-min arrangements
- Preferred locations: New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles, open to other locations in the East and West Coast.
