Our entity based in Boulder is looking for a Software Engineer - Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

Job Description

Working at the Analytical Instruments’ Boulder manufacturing site, with other Software Engineers, on the implementation of a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This project will require the team’s ability to convert user requirements into process and system designs. The new MES will provide the Supply Chain management with much more visibility of the production efficiency of the site (time tracking, rework tracking, scrap tracking, etc). 

The VIE will be in charge of : 

Working with the Supply Chain Software Engineers to: 

• Gather user requirements (from production managers, manufacturing engineers, finance analyst, planning and inventory control team, etc).
• Determine best MES system to implement, based on industry trends in MES and Smart Manufacturing. 
• Create an automated interface between the SAP ERP and the future MES to support manufacturing processes using REST, SOAP, SAP GUI, and ABAP.
• Implement the new MES.  
• Implement reporting from the MES (in Tableau or directly in the MES). 
• Train production operators in using the new MES.

Qualifications

• Educational background: Software Engineering 
• Professional background:  Minimum 2 years of work experience as Software Engineer
• Skills (if possible): 
  • Experience with VC , VBA, C#, ASP.Net
  • Experience with database applications such as MySQL
  • Experience with SAP, SAP GUI, ABAP, REST and SOAP APIs
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Experience with development process tools such as GitHub and Jira
  • Experience writing device communication libraries
  • Experience with ISA95, OPC UA, MES, and Smart Manufacturing Systems
• Languages: English
