Location: This is a remote, work from home, position. The candidate could be located anywhere within the OK, LA, TX, and MS area and will require 10-15% travel.
Position Purpose:
The incumbent will manage the compliance and financial disclosure activities to make certain all report disclosures are sufficient and in compliance. Ensure that the company accounting and financial reporting is in full compliance with all GAAP requirements, changes, updates, and announcements. Manages the facilities’ cash flow forecasting and reporting requirements. Work with the Project Managers and Area Manager – to create and implement proper procedures and systems. Work closely with the Accounting & Finance Department to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Manages financial reporting activities. Ensures consistent application of organizational policies and compliance with Corporate financial standards, GAAP guidelines and SOX requirements.
Maintains internal controls and safeguards company assets. Reports irregularities and abnormal conditions that arise during the course of work.
Ensures that deadlines are met.
Ensure the required process flows are completed and maintained.
Develops, maintains, and improves computer models, systems and databases for new and existing project accounting and financial applications. Assumes responsibility for the integrity of the data contained in the systems and assures that adequate systems documentation is in place.
Oversees the human resource functions of the assigned team including hiring and firing, performance appraisals, coaching and counseling team.
Recommends and provides input for salary and job change actions.
Works with the training team to ensure that all personnel receive required training. Coaches and counsels team to improve technical skills and interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
Works to identify and provide opportunities for cross-training and to learn new skills and techniques.
Organizes and communicates with management concerning cash flow forecasting and management.
Works with Finance & Accounting for external audits.
Performs and/or leads special projects as assigned.
Work Environment:
Typically spends most of the time in a home office environment; 10-15% travel.
Fast paced environment with multiple and changing priorities.
Frequent deadlines.
Possible Work Hazards: May be infrequently exposed to possible operations hazards or working in or visiting operational site, including dust, fumes, toxic and caustic chemicals, rotating machinery, high pressure, hot or cold work temperatures, slippery surfaces, water and electrical hazards.
