Job Posting for Animal Shelter Manager (PT) at Verde Valley Humane Society
This position is responsible for supervising and participating in the care and management of shelter animals, administrative and customer service support, and providing oversight, direction, and mentoring to assigned staff.
Compensation:
$18 to $19 per hour.
Qualifications:
High school or equivalent.
Must have at least one year of professional animal care.
Must have positive management experience.
Must be able to pass a background check
Responsibilities:
The Shelter Manager will oversee operations and staff activities, systems, policies and procedures and will provide leadership and planning to ensure operation at the highest standards.
The Shelter Manager is responsible for hiring, supervising and training animal welfare workers,
Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills as well as the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Oral and written communication skills with animal welfare staff, volunteers, and the public is important.
