What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Specialist Representative position at Verdesian Brand?
This position is responsible for agronomic field support to the region by assisting account managers with technical data, dealer meetings, presentations, plots, product and equipment recommendations and training of retail sellers. Ideal candidate would reside in Decatur, Alabama area.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop field trial protocols and provide advice on field trial data analysis as needed
- Help Account Managers answer technical product questions related to plant physiology, product mechanism, efficacy, yield expectations, competitive comparison performance, etc.
- Regularly meet with R&D to develop a deep understanding of product mechanisms, optimal application rates, R&D trial data, etc.
- Research and maintain an understanding of competitive product landscape
- Assist AMs with ROI pitch and proposal development
- Be available for in-person client visits for AMs
- Assist with new product development and launches
- Other duties not listed above as assigned by immediate supervisor
Key Competencies:
- Ability to balance keeping priorities while collaborating effectively
- Understanding of common Ag product chemistries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Deep understanding of data analytics & statistical modeling
- Excellent communication skills
