Position Overview 

As a data-driven marketing leader, the Demand Generation Director develops strategies to drive lead generation efforts using a variety of tactics, including, but not limited to live and virtual sponsorship and networking events, paid media advertising, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and ABM. This person is responsible for refining and scaling our marketing technology stack and acting as the business lead for identifying all use cases, integrations needed, and documentation of processes. In addition, this role will strategize and execute marketing initiatives through direct contributions, team efforts, and in-house digital agency support.  

 

About the Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role 

  • Oversees and directs the work of managers and their team, including both the Marketing Operations Manager and the Experiential Marketing & Media Sponsorship Manager 
  • Delivering against key metrics, including financial goals outlined by the SVP of Marketing 
  • Leading demand generation functions to drive predictable, scalable, and repeatable pipeline and revenue (i.e., prospects, MQLs, SQLs/opportunities, won deals), including ownership of data analysis for all marketing initiatives to measure impact and ROI 
  • Developing a strategy to understand and influence the customer journey across all stages of the lifecycle from acquisition, nurture/conversion, retention, and advocacy 
  • Collaborating with sales, revenue operations, and marketing leadership to develop growth strategies for pioneering new markets and competitive opportunities 
  • Overseeing the management and new initiatives in multi-channel lead-gen and pipeline campaigns 
  • Providing analysis to increase performance across digital channels, events, and lead scoring improvements 
  • Tracking budget for marketing plans and delivering against business goals/objectives 
  • Setting financial, operational, and quality metrics for marketing campaigns, in partnership with channel owners and creative director 
  • Reviewing and pre-approving campaign plans for specified area of responsibility as well as reviewing and approving campaign plans proposed by direct reports 
  • Working with senior management and sales leaders to keep abreast of objectives 
  • Collaborating with direct reports and peers in management/customers/vendors to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes and programs, adding or expanding key internal and external resources as needed  

 

Qualifications

  • 6 years' experience in Marketing with extensive demand generation experience in B2B tech, with expertise in leveraging digital channels to drive lead generation and brand amplification 
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals throughout all levels of the organization, in the business community and with vendors 
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions. 
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets 
  • At least 3 years' experience of direct leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership 
  • Experience with martech stack tools such as Marketo, 6sense, LeanData, and Salesforce preferred
