Job Description
Verisk is seeking a Head of Change Management that will be responsible for leading the enterprise-wide cultural shift focusing on data management, data sharing, data governance, job role definition, and organizational structure (impacts ~10k employees across all business and functional units).
Other responsibilities will include and not limited to:
- Setting the strategy for the firm’s change management initiative as it shifts toward a data centric organization, by deriving the most value from Verisk’s robust datasets
- Cultivating business unit and functional unit cohesion around data discovery, data access, and total data safety (all BUs and functional units)
- Driving change management practices across the various enterprise-wide initiatives, fostering employee adoption, utilization, and involvement in the approach
- Coaching, supporting, and empowering all levels of the organization through the change, helping them integrate new policies and procedures, minimize resistance, and have accountability for results
- Driving stronger adoption of data governance activities – i.e., process approvals, automation, and integration
- Developing best in class communication, education, training and reporting practices around data management capabilities and processes with a focus on continual improvement and a business led, scalable approach
- Ensuring data is moving in the direction of being more readily accessible, usable, and shareable while adhering to the required governance and protection standards
- Monetizing and increasing Verisk’s competitive advantage by leveraging our data
- Creating measurable KPIs
- Managing 15-20 change agents across a matrixed organization and a central team of three
- Knowledge Management
Primary Goals to Be Assured
- Understand the needs of the business units and integrate their needs in the change management approach
- Drive the culture of total data safety and implement necessary change processes with clear RACI across the enterprise
- Articulate the vision and data strategy across the enterprise
- Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders that lead to adoption of new data practices and principles
- Engage and influence the business units to unite around data management while also balancing business unit independence
- Implement change process to drive productivity of data community while still adhering to necessary policies and governance criteria
- Develop enterprise wide KPIs
- Implement effective training and communication
- Partner with business units to understand commercialization opportunities; build strategy with them to capitalize on those opportunities
- Develop optimum org structure, career pathing, talent, certifications, across data enterprise and drive the OCM process
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of work experience in organizational change management or related field
- Strong leadership and influencing skills in a complex matrixed organizational structure; ability to align enterprise-wide leadership
- Strong consulting and change management experience; change management certification preferred
- Experience managing large, complex change initiatives
- Ability to engage with businesses and understand the political climate of the enterprise
- Capability to build strategic roadmap identifying gaps between current and future state.
- Strong analytical skills
- Can take complex data and present in an easy-to-understand way
- Ability to motivate others and understand emotional implications of change and sustainment of change
- Excellent training and workshop design and facilitation to effectively drive change
- Customer focused and ability to flex based on changing needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
