Description:
The Sales Manager seeks to develop, implement, monitor, and continuously improve sales plans and strategies based on targeted objectives in targeted markets. The Sales Manager leads the team in meeting the departmental revenue goals and KPI targets while accomplishing our mission of Restoring Culture for Christ one young heart and mind at a time.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of the company history, vision, mission, and values.
- Acquire and maintain product knowledge of all Veritas Press product offerings.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of all Veritas Scholars Academy offerings and policies.
Sales
- Improve sales of Veritas Press products and services through relationships with families, schools, and resellers.
- Assign, monitor and hold accountable Sales Representatives daily activity.
- Monitor and audit documentation of conversations and interactions in Veritas Press CRM software.
- Use appropriate knowledge to place students in the correct Veritas Press product or service.
- Calculate monthly commissions by generating reports and sending them to Finance and the VP of Operations
Assignment and Accountability
- Assign tasks and hold Sales Representatives and Sales Executives accountable.
- Determine annual quotas for Sales team.
Departmental KPIs
- Track, monitor, and continuously improve Departmental KPIs as outlined by VP of Operations.
- Monitor and provide feedback to Manager of Communications and VP of Marketing on lead quantity and quality
Training
- Assist VP of Operations in creating a training and onboarding system for all Sales personnel.
- Ensure Sales team is adequately trained and onboarded
Budget
- Establish annual departmental budget for Sales Department
- Advise and provide feedback on company revenue targets based on teams capacity
- Approve departmental expenses with parameters of budget
Conferences
- Plan, execute and continuously improve Veritas’ homeschool conference attendance
- Properly predict sales and staffing for each conference
- Provide feedback and continuously improve the booth space with the Marketing team
Skills and Qualifications:
- Being conversant with and supportive of the Reformed Faith and Classical Education from a Christian worldview is preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in Sales Management.
- Able to communicate effectively via phone and email.
- Proficient in Order Entry Systems.
- Proficient in MS Office, and G Suite for Business products.
- Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software.
- Willing to learn constantly about the company’s products and services.
- Detail Oriented.
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking and sitting for long periods of time
- Extensive typing on QWERTY style keyboard
- Extensive viewing of lighted computer monitor
- Speaking and Hearing
- Reaching and bending
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Using hands to perform tasks
- Working in standard office conditions with and near electronics
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
