Pet Emergency & Specialty Center of Marin (PESCM) - Emergency & Specialty Care for Pets in Marin County, located in the north Bay Area, is looking for an Oncologist or an individual who has completed residency training to join our team.
PESCM is a large facility (12,000 sq. ft.), thoughtfully designed with unique features such as a dedicated feline ward and client visiting area. Our hospital culture is collaborative and fun, evidenced by our high retention of emergency doctors, specialists, and support staff. As a result, we are one of the most well-staffed hospitals in the area. Through long-standing relationships with our referring veterinarians, we have built a reputation that places us at the center of our unique community.
Departments include: 24/7 Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, Nutrition, Urgent Care, and Radiology - with 7 days/week access to ultrasound, surgery and clinic pathology.
We’re located in the beautiful and iconic Marin county, which offers a wide range of outdoor recreation, arts and culture, and fantastic proximity to San Francisco, Napa Valley, Point Reyes National Seashore, and the East Bay. We are currently building a new facility 5 miles up the road from our current location, which will be 3x the size of our current building, and feature 6 ORs, 10 exam rooms, dedicated induction, recovery and surgery treatment areas, and a thoughtfully-designed wellness/resilience room.
About the job: We are seeking a full-time Oncologist to join our growing Oncology Service, which includes a team of technicians and vet assistants who are trained to administer oral and injectable chemotherapy. In addition, you would enjoy the benefit of formal and informal collaboration with the surgery, internal medicine, in-house radiology, and emergency/ critical care teams for the comprehensive management of your patients.
