What you’ll be doing...
As a member of the Invoice Validation team, the Cost Assurance Analyst must be able to manage multiple tasks, tools and systems simultaneously. Meeting organizational goals depends on this person’s ability to organize, create, communicate, and facilitate activities that allow the company to deliver on its commitments. This position is responsible for analyzing, developing and executing approved daily Invoice Validation tasks for Verizon and its subsidiaries. The purpose of this position is to reflect proficiency in the processing and researching of invoices; in auditing and disputing of invalid charges; in all disbursement functions; and in the updating, maintaining and monitoring of all Verizon access cost financial systems.
- Validate new domestic or international vendors using vendor supplied data and company provisioning systems and maintain current Vendor and account information within audit systems.
- Receive and load invoice data.
- Process invoices for timely payment that maximizes the cash position of the company, and reconcile payment detail within ledger systems.
- Perform routine audits on invoices received from vendors and file claims.
- Resolve claims filed with vendors.
- Perform account reconciliations on out of balance accounts.
- Perform analysis on transactions and accounts in order to satisfy Sarbanes Oxley control requirements.
- Follow established process for network special construction payments to ensure all controls are followed and approvals have been completed.
- Execute queries using company systems and perform data analysis for special projects or assignments.
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years work experience.
- Three or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) and/or G Suite Applications.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or other Business Discipline.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including V-lookup formulas and experience with pivot tables.
- Experience with provisioning systems and databases.
- Familiarity with creating queries using multiple tables.
- Presentation skills using MS Power Point.
