What you’ll be doing...
You will be part of the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) team, a growing group focused on corporate governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement related to Verizon’s environmental and social goals, data and progress. You will be responsible for managing a variety of high-impact, high-visibility projects. The position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking with the ability to be self-directed, and to conceptualize, design and execute projects across multiple functions. The role will entail partnering with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver business-impacting projects while providing analysis and routine updates to stakeholders and senior leadership teams.
- Manage end-to-end processes for corporate reports, events and other stakeholder engagement activities.
- Oversee and manage project timelines, align key stakeholders, coordinate day to day logistics and own all related processes, record keeping and documentation. Support the productivity of project meetings by owning the planning, agenda, notes and assigning action items.
- Act as team liaison for key internal and external stakeholders and work to meet project milestones and secure necessary approvals by the assigned deadlines.
- Ensure all stakeholder feedback is incorporated on an ongoing basis, coordinate feedback loops, and build strong relationships across the enterprise to increase efficiency and responsiveness.
- Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure informational accuracy with supporting data validation, acting as a final checkpoint for messaging and content delivered to senior leaders and made public by the organization.
- Identify risk mitigation strategies, improve current processes, define new operational strategies and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
- Own specific projects on behalf of the SVP/VP and deliver recommendations the team can execute effectively.
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to ESG team leadership and assist in facilitating effective decision making.
- Manage external partners/vendors and related budgets

You also have an eye for detail, a love of organization and can juggle competing priorities while maintaining a sense of humor.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Experience managing largeprojects involving multiple stakeholders.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- A relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, MSP)
- Experience communicating and working with executive stakeholders on a regular basis
- Strong presentation and collaboration skills
- Self-motivator with a track-record of delivering positive results.
- Proven ability to manage issues through to resolution.
- Ability to influence teams to deliver outcomes and results.
- Results-driven, detail-oriented, able to anticipate needs and issues and identify appropriate solutions.
- Experience with ESG reporting and/or in corporate governance
- Agency management
- Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft Office
