5G Disruption is an entrepreneurial team within Verizon's Corporate Strategy & New Business Incubation organization, tasked with seeding the next generation of net-new software businesses for Verizon above the network layer. We're leveraging the power of our networks to create entirely new B2B products and solutions that push beyond our connectivity capabilities and have the potential to create transformational new growth vectors for Verizon.
As a member of the Product team, you will serve as a product visionary for nascent new businesses within 5G Disruption, and will be responsible for building out validated product roadmaps for targeted opportunity areas. In this capacity, you will be asked to translate high-level strategies and hypotheses into marketable products. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role, and you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and strategists to iteratively validate and refine key product requirements in the early pre-launch and MVP stages.

- Invent novel approaches and figure out what to do when ready-made processes or techniques are inadequate.
- Find patterns between disparate, seemingly unrelated sources anticipating innovative ways to build and position new business ideas.
- Layer together experimentation with other research, testing, and metrics to reveal strengths and flaws in the current strategy and devise a clear path forward.
- Develop a deep understanding of strategic objectives and customer needs, and engage at a detailed technical level to derive product requirements.
- Drive the overall product vision, strategy, and requirements and bridge to launch and commercialization by building initial proofs of concept and minimum viable products in partnership with engineering teams.
- Distill and prioritize key assumptions and collaborate on designing customer research and technical experiments to validate them.
- Deliver advances in the product by defining the roadmap, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive offerings and how they impact customer choices and preferences, and how they should influence the product.
- Define success metrics for initial POCs/MVPs and analyze product performance.
- Drive feature prioritization and sequencing, balancing customer needs, competitive dynamics, time to market, and ROI.
- Provide thought leadership on commercialization approach and build/buy/partner decisions.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in a product management role, with a successful track record of defining, building and launching B2B products with real business impact.
- Experience with software/SaaS products.
- Experience with logistics or supply chain for the manufacturing or retail industries.
- Experience withAgile methods, experience in human-centered design process.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
