What you'll be doing...
As the Supply Chain Supervisor, you play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of 32 Garage Work Centers (GWC) and leading a dedicated team of 18 union-represented employees in the Potomac region.
You will supervise a team that will execute on all inventory management duties at Garage Work Centers (GWC) that include, but are not limited to, ordering, expediting, staging, receiving, returning, transferring, packaging, labeling and maintaining optimal overall inventory levels for technicians working in the field.
This high-impact role will require a leader be responsible for building a positive team culture, managing field escalations, anticipating and resolving operational challenges, coordinating the movement of major materials, providing oversight over vendor-managed inventory, and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Engineering, HR, and Labor Relations.

- Training, coaching, and counseling direct reports through observing employee quality and safety performance.
- Engaging with employees to manage, evaluate and meet team performance and business metrics.
- Conducting employee performance appraisals and communicating feedback effectively.
- Evaluating trends in data and identifying the root cause of supply issues to develop solutions and drive cost savings.
- Maintaining and securing administrative records for tracking employee attendance, training completed and other important metrics.
- Resolving workplace issues to maintain and enhance a positive working environment.
- Maintaining and strengthening field engagement with Operations to support their priorities/initiatives.
- Traveling overnight within work geography.

You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in Operations and/or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience leading teams.
- Experience creating presentations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite (e.g., Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Sheets/Docs/Slides/etc.).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Willingness to travel up to 26-50% of the time.
- Willingness to take part on projects that focus on business problems and key initiatives.
- Valid driver's license.
- A degree.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP.
- Strong critical thinking skills to solve both strategic and tactical challenges on a daily basis.
- Experience identifying issues that may impact the success of initiatives and participate in the development of new strategies and direction.
- Ability to work in and maintain performance expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading, motivating and coaching a diverse team.
- Experience working with multiple internal partner groups to generate optimal outcomes.
- Union employee management experience.
- Proven ability to interpret labor contracts/collective bargaining agreements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven record of leadership capabilities.
- Project Management experience.
- Experience with Data Analysis & Reporting.
