Supply Chain Manager – Global Supply Chain
Location: Haslet, TX
The Supply Chain Manager will work side-by-side with Verizon warehouse operations teams and third-party logistics (3PL) managers across multiple regional distribution centers in the US, as well as cross-functionally with IT, inventory planners, and network engineers, to execute a wide range of transformational projects. These projects will be aimed at increasing customer service to the field, reducing operating expense, reducing working capital, and driving efficiency. This position will specialize in plotting strategy, scope, and timelines while also overseeing the successful execution and sustainment of completed projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the conception, scope definition, project planning, and execution of various types of strategic and operational warehouse initiatives, ranging from large-scale capital projects to everyday process improvements.
- Lead projects, process improvement, and system enhancements that span multiple 300K square foot regional distribution centers.
- Influence without authority, ensuring structure and accountability in the project plans of multiple teams and simultaneous efforts.
- Maintain open and direct communication with a team of more senior leaders.
- Partnership with internal stakeholders and drive a teamwork environment.
- Lead project update meetings and gather timely status updates.
- Ensure operators down to the lowest level adhere to standards of process excellence that are fully aligned across all sites.
- Individually analyze and implement your own measurable improvements to Global Supply Chain's warehousing activity in areas including inventory planning, inbound receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, picking, quality control, shipping, internal customer support, reverse logistics, and maximizing the value of returned equipment.
- Perform audits and lead a small team of process auditors in ensuring successfully implementation and sustainment of new initiatives across locations by both Verizon and 3PL partner managers.
- Partner with stakeholders to document detailed standards for all programs and processes.
- Hold 3PL leaders as well cross-functional Verizon team members accountable to meeting desired project deadlines.
- Construct business cases for projects to quantify cost/benefit.
- Act as project management subject matter expert and consultant to other teams performing their own continuous improvement initiatives.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree and four years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Project Management experience in large-scale operations.
- Experience with project management software.
- Experience in Microsoft Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 25%.
Even better if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Excellent experience in SAP and WMS preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- PMP certification.
- Expertise in creating plans with project management software.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience in a high-volume distribution center of 500K SF or larger.
- Experience managing a 3rd Party Logistics Provider.
- Supplier management experience.
- A demonstrated history of promoting employee engagement in process change.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.Salary : $89,000 - $165,000
