The HR Generalist/Recruiter will provide a variety of complex, routine, and administrative services in support of departmental and operational goals. This role will not only collaborate with the department in various projects and data maintenance, but also support employees of the company through various Employee Engagement, Employee Well Being, and Employee Relations initiatives. This position will also be responsible for using creative and outside-the-box sourcing techniques to identify the right talent for hard-to-fill and/or growth positions within our organization. Additional recruiting and HR responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
- Staffing and Recruiting:Assist with job posting and advertisement processes for skilled and salaried positions.
Assist in interviewing and selecting employees.
Schedule interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
Attend and participate college career fairs and recruiting events.
Identify and implement recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Employee Relations:Assist in creating, reviewing, and maintaining job descriptions for skilled and professional level positions.
Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of Company policies and Procedures.
Promote HR programs to ensure a positive and healthy work environment.
Ability to support Human Resources Manager with employee related issues.
Collaborate with Human Resources Manager in investigating complaints or concerns brought forth and recommend plan of action.
- Must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the public image.
- Participate in strategic projects within the department.
- Good understanding of the company’s organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policies and procedure, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Perform other duties to support HR needs as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field experience in lieu of a degree
- 3-5 years HR experience preferred
- Active PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Considerable skill in interviewing techniques.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
