POSITION SUMMARY
The Teacher serves as an academic leader for the education programs at Connections Wellness Group. They will assume administrative responsibility for the planning and operation of the education programs. The Teacher must act with integrity, support organizational goals, demonstrate the ability to inspire, grow and motivate others, utilize feedback, drive for results, and commit to championing the needs of the students and administrative staff overall.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree. Preferrable in Educational Administration or Education related field
Experience: Experience in Education (preferred)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work with the Regional Director of Education to keep them informed of the condition of the educational system.
2. Maintain current and actionable knowledge of any developments in state, federal, and local laws and public policy affecting education.
3. Oversee the development of high standards of performance in educational achievement, use and development of personnel, public responsibilities, and operating efficiency.
4. Ensure a favorable educational environment through the implementation of an equitable and efficient system of student behavioral management.
5. Collaborate with staff and community support in planning and implementing support services for students.
6. Promote and exhibit a positive work environment that fosters high staff morale and excellence within the staff.
7. Develop and implement effective communication between the schools and community; promote community support and involvement with the schools.
8. Serve as liaison to establish and maintain relationships with other school Districts, Colleges, and Universities.
9. Serve as a public face of the Education program in the community.
10. Pursue personal and professional development through academic reading, attending conferences, and being an active member of professional learning organizations in the education field.

22. Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate ideas/problems/instructions (oral or written) with staff, employees, and Connections Wellness Group management staff.
23. Ability to analyze situations, evaluate data, and recommend/implement courses of action that would improve the functioning of systems/processes he/she is involved in.
24. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
25. Ability to use good judgment and keep information confidential.
26. Ability to react calmly and effectively in an emergency.
27. Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate tasks associated with facility operation.
28. Ability to motivate and empower staff to maximize their potential for work performance and productivity.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPECIAL DEMANDS
1. Ability to sit for long periods of time (8-10 hours),
2. Ability to reach above and below the waist, turn, twist, and manipulate small tools (copier, computer, telephone, typewriter, calculator, safe, facsimile machine).
3. Ability to see well enough to read handwritten and typewritten material.
4. Ability to stand and walk the facility grounds.
5. Ability to spend 10% of the working time outside in temperatures varying from -0° F. to 110° F.
6. Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks at a moderate level.
7. Ability to occasionally handle electrical, mechanical, or equipment emergencies.
8. Available to work varied hours (i.e. evenings) as required, may be on call as needed.
9. Ability to travel between facility locations, and at times, the corporate office.
10. Ability to drive a motor vehicle to designated sites.
11. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks under deadlines and with short notice.
