What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Solutions Analyst position at Vertiv Co.?
Vertiv has a transformational opportunity for a Supply Chain Solutions Analyst in Westerville, Ohio who will be a key partner for the Americas Procurement team, including Commodity Management, Supplier Management and Procurement Operations. The Analyst will evaluate data to generate reports and strategic insights to drive the Americas Procurement KPIs. Full engagement and relationship with Commodity Manager (CM) teams (both CMs and CM Managers) to complete all ad hoc requests. Support cost savings and quoting analysis in support of the CM teams. Work with the CM team on various procurement projects and be viewed as a strong project facilitator by both the CMs and CM Managers. Additionally, the ability to work independently with at times with minimal direction.
Job Summary
- Expand the breadth of the Analyst coverage across the Procurement team (specific areas detailed below under responsibilities) Master all Procurement ERP systems and data sources to become a “go-to” resources for the Procurement team.
- Perform business process analysis and own the design and improvement of new and existing tools and processes to support business decisions.
- Regularly review reporting, make recommendations for necessary changes and implement improvements.
- Effectively resolve roadblocks to collection of complete and accurate data and adoption of tools.
- Identify data integrity issues and lead cross functional efforts to develop processes to resolve discrepancies.
- For sole source suppliers, determine relative level of importance to Vertiv, recommendations for performance improvement and steps necessary to reduce risk and exposure.
- Using data analysis methods, develop recommendations to leadership for improvements in reporting, KPI’s and risk management.
- Create mapping of interactions and responsibilities between Procurement, Manila Service Center, Finance, and other departments.
- Manage savings tracking and reporting (dashboard) used to track and report on strategic initiatives and perform risk analysis to identify developing issues.
- Responsible for the aggregation and consolidation of data from multiple sources and the necessary analysis to update iSave reports, Procurement KPI tracking, standard cost setting and Purchase Price Variances (PPV).
- Coordinate with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) as necessary in the collection of information and reporting of findings.
- Working with a cross-functional team, identify and resolve issues impacting KPI’s.
Responsibilties
- Become expert on SAP & LES to provide training and perform part updates as needed per CM’s request
- Collection of Procurement KPIs and metrics input from CM team
- Support Inventory Management (reduction) efforts
- Become expert on Share Point access & Procurement IT support (such as Pay term updates)
- Parts set up in LES training, Dataserv & Agile admin to manage the accessibility, develop training materials, and provide support
- Leveraging Manila based analysts to spread the analyst’s workload
Education & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, supply chain management, business or finance. MBA a plus.
- 2 to 4 years of analytical experience performing detailed analyses.
- Experience in defining, scoping and implementing projects.
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI along with experience in writing queries to access information from relational database management systems.
- Previous experience with SAP or Oracle a plus.
- Proven success in the identification of issues using advanced analytics.
- Detail-oriented, analytical and results-driven.
- Motivated problem solver.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to manage and manipulate large amounts of data quickly.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous requests and projects.
- Ability to work in a fluid environment without closer supervision.
