POSITION SUMMARY
Vertiv is hiring a Continuous Improvement Coordinator in Westerville, OH within the corporation's America Service Business. This position works with the Continuous Improvement team to develop the processes, tools, training, and governance around Lean Projects. This includes but not limited to, project tracking and reporting, managing incoming requests, presentation development, and develop and deliver training material. This role is part of a highly skilled team of change agents working with all functional areas of the business as well as customers and suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Continuous Improvement team to gather and develop the requirements needed for system enhancements from internal Vertiv groups (Field Ops, Service Delivery Technical Support, Finance, Procurement). Work with those internal groups to ensure requirements are being met.
- Set up, lead, oversee and implement procedures to ensure regular review of control plans and corrective actions for metrics not at goal.
- Manage ad-hoc projects and requests that come into the continuous improvement group. This may entail resolving system issues, assisting user create the proper support ticket type to ensure proper IT resolution
- Assist with administration of the Cycle Count program including assisting and trouble shooting user issues and participation on status calls
- Manage and take lead on the status calls for field parts stock including following up with associates with high on hand stock and working with field teams to develop action plans to debrief parts and reduce on hand stock.
- Assist with trouble shooting access issues for both internal and external users by facilitating interactions between Help Desk and users
- Work with Training Team to identify and assist with training development determined from projects or system enhancements
- Assist with management and uploading new and reviewed process documents in the document library.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- Six Sigma Yellow or Green belt preferred
- Excellent project management and time management skills
- Understanding of basic lean processes and tools or willing to learn
- Able to develop and deliver training
- High degree of organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Must have strong proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel and Word and Oracle EBS. Smartsheet is a plus.
- Ability to learn new systems and tools
- Must be self-starter, adaptable and flexible to operate with minimal direction and little or no supervision while working in a complex and changing environment
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion with ability to identify problems and make recommendations for resolution
- Demonstrated leadership, strong dedication to teamwork and integrity within professional environment
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
