Job Summary
The Product (Offering) Specialist contributes to defining rack PDU product roadmap by consolidating global Voice of Customer (VoC) data to define market solutions;
works with various sales teams and customers to capture product requirements for new opportunities, and will collaborate with design teams to develop technical product solutions to meet the customer requirements.
This position will also develop and support external and internal customer projects throughout their life cycle, administer customer facing programs, and support North American customer product customization requirements, priorities, and support their business cases.
Other duties include supporting OEM customers and their requirements as they evolve, engaging with internal and external customers to champion our customization capabilities, and supporting the process and engagement with other teams.
This position will be based onsite at our Lincoln, NE location.
Responsibilities :
- Subject Matter Expert on rack PDU for executive, marketing, and sales teams.
- Project Sponsor and interface with Project Management team to approve change requests.
- Define, develop, and administer customer facing product customization programs.
- Define and create new product SKU’s in the relevant ERP systems
- Works closely with Quality team to analyze global RMAs and determine action plan.
- Consolidate and review feedback from global Tech Support team to create plan to address actionable items.
- For OEM customers, create and maintain Product Documentation including user manuals, quick start guides, and technical documentation.
Provide support to regionalize documents as needed.
- Work with Product Marketing team on creation of White Papers, Application Notes, Case Studies, and Articles.
- Provide on-site critical customer consultations when required.
- Interface with other Vertiv product and engineering teams to coordinate rack PDU integration with other hardware and / or software solutions.
- Provide training and general offering support to back-up Product (Offering) Management team members.
- Participate in trade shows, key customer visits and on-line marketing presence as required.
- Drive the activities necessary to meet our global and regional financial and profitability objectives.
- Support sales activities to identify and engage with existing and new customers / markets that support our planned growth objectives.
- Contribute to creation of best in market customer facing documentation by providing consistent, accurate, and up-to-date materials.
Requirements :
- Related Business or Technical degree preferred but not required; 2 years relevant industry experience or at least 5 years relevant industry experience in leu of degree
- Strong knowledge of relevant customer segments
- Technical expertise to translate customer needs / pain points to solutions
- Strong written / oral communication, especially in communicating customer needs
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office applications with specific emphasis on Excel.
- Effectively communicates technical information and complex ideas to technically diverse audiences.
