What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Stockkeeper position at Vestas?
The Area Stock Keeper is responsible for facilitating and supporting inventory management for their assigned area as directed by area leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide business support to area sites, keeps stock for daily operations, including creating and running regular reports (consumption, availability, etc.) and assisting with compiling data for budgets
- Administration of materials and tools for the service teams as planned & scheduled
- Maintain inventory of materials and tools to efficient mobilization of technicians
- Adhere to safety standards applied in the warehouse/work according to HSE Plan and for warehouse equipment
- Audit inventory for warehouse
- Identification and request for exceptions/non-conformity for materials and tools provided to Warehouse.
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe warehouse

- Solid verbal and written communication skills; focused and effective listener; ability to effectively influence others to adhere to standard processes and procedures
- Ability to work in both a team-based environment and individually with limited supervision
- Ability to identify problems and solve them through root cause analysis; demonstrate solid pragmatical skills and significant attention to detail
- Solid time management and demonstrated organizational skills to ensure department goals are met

Essential Functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP)
- Ability to implement processes to efficiently conduct required administrative tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
Education, Training, and Skills Required
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 – 3 years minimum of business support experience in either inventory or office administration
- Experienced in working with enterprise resource program (SAP specifically, but other ERP skills are transferable).
- Professional organizational skills with LEAN experience preferred
- Minimum 40% travel required between multiple sites: Passport for international travel (if applicable to given region).
- Be able to pass forklift training and obtain certification per area needs
Physical Demands
While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use of hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, and walk, stand, look up/down, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend.
May infrequently/ occasionally be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
