About the Role:
As a Behavior Technician, you are responsible for implementing Behavior Intervention Plans and skill acquisition goals developed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Services will be conducted 1:1, and can be provided in-home or in community settings. What You'll Do:
- Provide direct behavioral services to clients in individual and group sessions.
- Implement/teach targeted skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals as written and prescribed by the BCBA.
- Work with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA’s) and/or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA’s) and Behavior Technician I (BT I) to implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collect skill acquisition and behavior reduction data during each scheduled session as instructed utilizing Rethink Behavioral Health Software.
- Provide ABA treatment utilizing evidence-based strategies including but not limited to DTT, NET, shaping, chaining, differential reinforcement, errorless learning, prompt fading etc.
- Assist caregivers with the application of ABA techniques and strategies.
- Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Communicates effectively with other ABS employees.
- Communicate concerns to supervisors.
- Receive feedback from supervisors professionally.
- Attends all scheduled sessions/appointments with clients and attempt to reschedule missed sessions/appointments.
- Manage challenging behavior and crisis situations based on the client treatment plan and company’s policy.
- Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients during treatment sessions and when emergency crisis situations arise.
- Submit, verify, and complete Rethink appointments daily. Session notes should be objective and detailed.
About You:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Complete State/Federal Criminal Background checks and Central Registry checks
- Possess and maintain valid New Jersey driver’s license (or Resident State)
- Maintain and/or possess CPR, CPI, Handle With Care (HWC), First Aid, and DDD Pre- service and Boggs Center Training
