What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Acquisition Specialist position at Vesuvius USA?

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will provide full life cycle recruiting and staffing support to ensure qualified resources with the proper skill set are available when and as needed. Create and execute successful recruiting strategies to provide a well-qualified candidate pool and support business unit staffing initiatives and priorities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for full life cycle recruiting activities for all levels of candidates to include job advertisements, sourcing, interviewing, background checks, assessments and selection advice.
  • Build candidate pipeline by developing and maintaining recruiting sources that may include the Applicant Tracking System, job boards, employee referrals, college recruitment, social media, career fairs, networking relationships, employment agencies, etc.
  • Participate in public speaking engagements including, but not limited to employee meetings, trainings, school career events, professional organizations and networking events, etc.
  • Research and understand the always changing labor market conditions
  • Support HR leadership with key initiatives, projects and other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Human Resources or a related discipline preferred
  • Must have proven track record in full life cycle recruiting through on-boarding .
  • 3 years recruiting experience in engineering, manufacturing and high volume production roles
  • Must have internet sourcing experience, LinkedIn Recruitment experience preferred
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers to drive recruiting results; strong business acumen
  • Strong working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS system(s) preferred
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as familiar with state and federal employment laws
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills and continuous improvement mindset

Experience

Preferred
  • 3 year(s): Experience recruiting in a manufacturing environment as well as professional level positions in a corporate setting. Ability to utilize job boards, LinkedIn, really and other sources to the highest level. Experience creating a social media strategy to attract talent in a very competitive market.

  • Bachelors or better in Human Resources or related field
